Each data file follows the naming convention YYMMDDTHHMMSS.txt
where
- YY = Year
- MM = Month
- DD = Day
- T = Tide
- HH = Hour (UTC)
- MM = Minute
- SS = Second
There are few times over the history of this data where order of the columns change. These correspond with when instruments were changed out for the most part. It has been move 3 times in the last 7 years. An Aanderaa Tide Pressure Sensor was installed on the east side of the pier in 2014 to replace the old, malfunctioning, and poorly secured old sensor. After several years of operation it was discovered that the tide sensor was not installed deep enough to accurately measure the lowest of low tides. The sensor was then moved to the west side of the pier into deeper water in 2018. Then the tide sensor was removed in preparation for the new pier build in December 2021 and installed in its current location on the west side of the pier in May of 2022. In 2020, a tidal constituent analysis was done, which is included here as a supplementary resource.
