Palmer Station manual and automatic weather station observations 1989 to 2024, quality-controlled, adjusted, and gap-filled observational data.

These files contain hourly and daily observational data that have been quality controlled.

Daily observations are from a composite of manual observations made four times per day from 01 April 1989 to 30 November 2001, adjusted 2-minute automated weather station observations from 01 December 2001 to 30 September 2015, and 1-minute automated weather station observations (not adjusted) from 01 October 2015 to 30 April 2024. For months in which more than 15% of daily values are missing, adjusted daily and hourly values from ERA5 were used to fill in these gaps. Other missing data are represented by “NA”.

Hourly observations are from a composite of 2-minute automated weather station observations from 01 December 2001 to 30 September 2015, and 1-minute automated weather station observations (not adjusted) from 01 October 2015 to 30 April 2024.

These files also contain overlapping daily observational datasets used to adjust Palmer Station weather observations in Groff et al. (in prep.).

PAWS and PalMOS overlapping daily observation datasets span 11 September 2015 to 30 September 2017, and the adjusted PalMOS overlapping daily observation dataset spans 01 December 2001 to 30 September 2003.
