The downwelling shortwave radiative fluxes were measured by an upward-looking pyranometer at the Chilean Antarctic Research Station, Professor Julio Escudero, on King George Island. The research platform at Escudero is supported by the Instituto Antártico Chileno (INACH).
Yearly directories from 2016/12/08 – 2023/08/18 contain monthly comma separated variable (csv) files that typically start at 03:01 UTC on the first of each month. A few files have different starting times as given in the file names.
File name: esc_swdYYMMDD_HHmm.csv, where esc stands for Escudero, and swd stands for shortwave downwelling.
Columns, which are given in the file headers, are: Date (YYYY-MM-DD), Time (HH:mm:SS), number of samples (#Samples), Status (generally blank), Radiation in W m-2, Temperature in K, and Power.
